BALT was born in Malatya in 1985. He came to Istanbul in 2005 to study economics at Marmara University and then applied to Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University for Textile and Fashion Design. She started working as a design assistant at Hakaan Yıldırım while she was a fashion student. She worked as a junior/senior designer at Hakaan Yıldırım between 2009-2014. She found her own brand under the name of SALİH BALTA in 2014 and made her debut at Istanbul Fashion Week in the 2015 Autumn-Winter season. The brand focuses on couture craftsmanship with modern silhouettes.
